Πρόβλημα στο wi-fi του B-Focus Wireless 352+ router

Μπορεί κάποιος να μου πει ΠΩΣ μπορώ να μπω στις ρυθμίσεις ενός B-focus multiport 400pr router ; Δεκτή οποιαδήποτε βοήθεια

Αν είναι ποτε δυνατόν να δίνουν DSL με ΝΑΤ (cytanet) και proxy servers (spidernet)!! Το Β-Focus το έχω και γώ. Κατάφερα να μπω στις ρυθμίσεις μέσω του web interface του αλλά ουσιαστικά δεν υπάρχει τίποτε που μπορείς να αλλάξεις. Όλα τα adsl modems που δίνει η cyta είναι απο πρίν ρυθμισμένα σε bridge mode και το μόνο που κάνουν είναι να δίνουν στην κάρτα δικτύου ένα ΙΡ απο το εσωτερικό δίκτυο της. Ούτε καν public ΙΡ δεν σου δίνουν. Έλεος...

Το modem δεν έχει να κάνει με αυτά που λες. Μπορεί να γράφει ότι είναι router αλλά στην δική μας περίπτωση όλα αυτά τα features είναι απενεργοποιημένα. Το μόνο που κάνει είναι να εκτελεί χρέη "ενδιάμεσου" ανάμεσα σε σένα και στο τηλεφωνικό κέντρο στο οποίο είσαι συνδεδεμένος. Αυτά που λες γίνονται στους servers του ISP σου και δυστυχώς δεν μπορείς να τα ξεφορτωθείς. Εκτος αν αποφασίσει η CYTA κάποτε να μας δώσει σωστά την υπηρεσία...

Public ip σίγουρα σου δίνουν, αφού είπα ενος φίλου μου να πάρει τηλέφωνο για να παίξουμε κανένα παιχνίδι και του την είπαν :)

Όταν λες πως τα features είναι απενεργοποιημένα εννοείς και το firewall και το ΝΑΤ μαζί ; Επειδή εμένα είναι σίγουρα ενεργοποιημένα... :(

εαν η CYTA παρεχεο αυτο τον router χωρις χρεωση στον πελατη τοτε καλα κανει και αλλαζει το username και password. Εαν ομως το πληρωνεις το router ε τοτε πρεπει να απαιτησετε να σας τα δωσουν........

Πιστεύω οτι μπορείς, αν το παρεμβάλεις μετά το 1ο PC. Εννοώ να βάλεις το 1ο PC (Server ) πάνω στο DSL modem που σου δίνει η CYTA, και πάνω σε αυτό να συνδέσεις τον router και τα λοιπά PCs.

Πιστεύω οτι μπορείς, αν το παρεμβάλεις μετά το 1ο PC. Εννοώ να βάλεις το 1ο PC (Server ) πάνω στο DSL modem που σου δίνει η CYTA, και πάνω σε αυτό να συνδέσεις τον router και τα λοιπά PCs.

1. Είναι παράνομο να το χρησιμοποιήσεις σαν router ( ξέρω ξέρω :p)

TO start BROWSE ALL SETTINGS AND TAKE SCREEN SHOT OR WRITE THEM DOWN:

set your ip address on your pc to 192.168.1.x (x= a number except 1)
load internet explorer
open the page 192.168.1.1
username and password are Admin (capital A)

Then run the url http://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/firmwarecfg go to the url and take the link to the firmware upgrade file, change your ips to automaticaly as before and download the file to your computer.

again

δεν εχω ασφαλεια (no encryption). υποψιαζομαι οτι κατι εχει να κανει με τον τροπο που παραχωρει τα IP η ΑΤΗΚ.

I managed to enable the wireless access point on the B-Focus 352+. If you follow these instructions you will be able to connect wirelessly one (only ONE) computer. The reason is that the B-Focus 352+ will still not work as a router. However, I think this is better than nothing. So, here goes:

1) Connect to your B-Focus 352+ by wire
2) Change your Local Area Connection IP to 192.168.1.2, Subnet Mask 255,255,255,0
3) Navigate your web-browser to 192.168.1.1. This should bring you the log in screen for the administration panel for the B-Focus 352+.
4) Login using username:Admin, password:Admin (Admin starting with capital A)
5) Press SETUP on the horizontal menu and LAN configuration on the vertical menu.
6) Transfer WLAN from LAN Group 2 to LAN Group 1. This is how to do it:
Under LAN Group 2 higlight WLAN and click remove
Then under Interfaces higlight WLAN and click add under LAN Group 1
7) Click Apply
8) Goto WIRELESS on the horizontal menu, SETUP on the vertical menu
9) Click ENABLE A/P
10) Click Apply
11) Follow the Restart Access Point Link
12) Click the Restart Access Point button
13) Then click the Save All Changes button
14) The B-Focus 352+ should now be transmitting and the WIRELESS light should be on.
15) Disconnect the network cable, disable you Local Area Connection and enable your Wireless Network connection.
16) Connect wirelessly to BFOCUS

THAT'S IT!
If you are lucky all should work fine.

If you have problems:
If you get 'Limited Connectivity'. The DHCP at cyta is not giving you a valid IP. This is what you do:
1) Call 80000197. Choose the i-choice option.
2) Tell the support person: "Release my IP"
3) They will tell you to switch off the ADSL modem and wait on the line for 5 minutes. Do it and wait.
4) When they tell you it is released, switch it back on
5) Connect your wireless card to BFOCUS again (don't tell them you are connecting wirelessly!).
6) They will then tell you to put 192.168.5.1 in you browser (www.i-choice.com.cy). Log in using your phone number for username and password
7) Netrunner login should then pop-up (if it doesn't ctrl-click on cytanet icon and make sure your pop-up blocker is disabled). Login with your username and password

Please let me know if the solution to the wireless problem I posted works for you.

I believe once you get wireless connectivity you can figure out how to also enable the router rather than connecting straight to cyta's network, you are going through the router, so you can connect more than one computers.

Unfortunately I have no time to keep experimenting, plus I'm only using one computer so I'm fine with my not completely perfect solution, but I would like to help in any way I can if someone figure out the router thing.

Tip. If in step 25, when renewing your router's IP it doesn't renew (as was the case when I tried it), call 80000197 and ask them to release your IP.

Έχεις 2 επιλογές (γενικοί κανόνες μιας και δεν ξέρω το συγκεκριμένο router).
1. ενεργοποιείς το DHCP στο router και στα properties της wireless σύνδεσης του laptop βάζεις obtain IP automatically.
2. Απενεργοποιείς το DHCP στον ρουτερ οπότε στα properties της σύνδεσης βάζεις εσωτερική ΙP του στυλ 192.168.1.3 (εφόσον το router έχει 192.168.1.1). Subnet mask 255.255.255.0. Gateway την ΙP του router. Και DNS τους DNS servers του ISP σου.
